Oct 3, 2018 - For U.S. Versions of Microsoft Word, the default paper size is 8.5 by 11. When the Page Setup dialog box appears, it should be set on Page. Microsoft Word is the standard word processing application for computers running the Windows operating system. Word is not a central program on the Mac, which comes equipped with Text Edit Select 'Page setup. ' The standard paper size is US letter (8.5 inches wide and 11 inches high).

One of the things that frustrates me when I try to print my documents in Microsoft Word for Mac 2011 is that, although my printer does double-sided printing, the Microsoft Word dialogue box does not show an option for two-sided printing. So, instead of just sucking it up and accepting I just have to double my pages, here’s a workaround. Click the PDF button in the lower left hand corner of the Microsoft Word Print dialogue box.

Choose Open PDF in Preview. Your document will open up in the Preview app. Go to File > Print. Click the Two-Sided check box and click Print. To get back to Microsoft Word when you’re done printing you can close the Preview document or go to File > Quit Preview to close the application. This will save you a whole lot of paper and quite a bit of frustration!

Nice little walk around to set up word to be able to print duplex directly 1. Go over to an application where the duplex or two-sided checkbox is available. Safari works. Print some web page. It can even be this one. We just need to get the print dialog to come up. You won’t actually print. Program to editing photo on mac for portrait software.

Turn on duplex/two-sided. Get the rest of your settings just the way you like them. Inside the print dialog, from the “Presets” menu, save your setting as “My Duplex”.

Go back to Word and print. When you want “My Duplex”, just select it from the presets menu. Job done Hope this helps 🙂 Credit.

My duplex printing from Word (for Mac) suddenly would not work after upgrading to Sierra [I have a printer that does duplex automatically, no need for manual]. I think that once I upgraded the operating system (I hadn’t for some time), Word in Office was able to update to a new version and that is what has caused the problem. Thanks for the pre set tip – it has solved the issue but I am cranky with Microsoft that the bug in their update has not been fixed and I have to do a work around provided for me by a third party! Again though, thanks for finding a solution and making it available here.

How to get microsoft access on mac. I really do appreciate it.

I have an iMac running Microsoft Word for MAC 15.29.1 under OSx 10.12.1. I have created a Word a document with multiple sections that I revise every two months. I save this document as a PDF to upload to to be printed by a professional printing vendor. Each time I revise the document I have to reset 'Word>Page Setup>Page Attributes>Format For:' to my printer in order to get the conversion to PDF to work correctly.

Often seemingly randomly to me Word>Page Setup>Page Attributes>Format For: loses the printer selection and returns to 'Any Printer.' As I have several sections in the document I must select the printer again in every section. Very annoying.

Can anyone offer suggestions how I can avoid having to re-select the printer frequently? Is the printer connected by a USB Cable? Or, it an ePrinter? (uses a Wifi Connection)? If a USB (Hard wired connection that is unusual to have trouble, unless you have defective cable). On the other hand if a Wireless Printer.

Causes could be: • A bad internet connection. I • f Printer is turned off for a long time then turned on just when needed the Printer setting will be forgotten and you will have reset. • Printer Could be set incorrectly.

• Some ePrinter are required to be setup just like a Modem having it own DHCP Settings, and IP addresses. Others use a WPS connected to the Modem. • If Printer power is interrupted or turned off or unplugged for a certain amount of time all setting are forgotten.
