Great little gadget!! Thought I had lost those old videos but not anymore. So simple to use on Mac.

This is exactly what I was looking for! You plug an old camcorder, vcr or other video player with RCA cables/S-video and you then plug the vidbox into your computer. Then, using the software, you capture the video as you play it on the camcorder or video player. I have already converted 3-4 8mm tapes into digital.mov files.

Load the cd, plug it in and off you go. Image quality is as good as the quality of the recording you made years ago, you cannot expect HD reproduction. Worth every penny and more! These old tapes degrade over time, this is a very good, cost effective way to digitise them forever. Don’t forget you need a camcorder, video recorder etc to play the tape in real time whilst connected to PC. You can save to iTunes then put the videos on other devices afterwards. Absolutely chuffed to bits with results.
